We’ve got lots going on Friday.  The daily morning show, Atlanta & Company, will be at our market filming a segment so here’s your chance to appear on TV!  The filming takes place on Friday and it’ll air sometime in September.  When the air date is determined, we’ll definitely let you know.  Gymnastics World of Georgia will be at the market with a jumpy and also will be performing.  Live music will be provided by Bob Carr.  In addition to our fabulous vendors,  it’s Artisan Day so will have a variety of local goods available.  Here are a few of our artisans:

1.  Wendy Pagano with Half Full Clayworks:  Pottery is thrown on a wheel and kiln fired.  All glazes are food safe.  Pieces can be used in the microwave or oven and are dish washer friendly.

2.  Varsha Mistry with Mystery Gems Custom Beaded Jewelry

3.  Bill Crawford with Homefields:  Hand made wooden 3-dimensional Sports stadium replicas.

4.  Gigi Harper with Natural Home Presents:  Hand Dyed Clothing and Playsilks

5.  Kim Maley with Boho Girl:  Handcrafted women’s accessories from all over the world, including handbags, jewelry, scarves, dresses, aprons, birdhouses.  Handbags are hand stitched by a group of women in Nepal.  The money they earn provides food and shelter for them and their families.  Handmade money beads custom made by widows of Uganda of which profits support these widows and children with food, shelter and education.

6.  Theo Tuerke with Theo Art and Jewelry:  Semi-precious stomes, gold and silver jewelry.

7.  Christine Tamisin with Christine Tamisin Designs:  Artwork/paintings – “My art is a story.  When you see it.. I hope you can relate to the person or to the object I have painted.  If I had to describe my art it would be that of..folk art that meets street art..that meets old time music.”

8.  Gwen Darling - Jewelry:  guitar pick necklaces and earrings, knotted leather bracelets & necklaces with pearls (very popular right now!), long funky chain-linked necklaces, knotted silk and leather lariat-style necklaces, and fun, inexpensive bracelets and earrings using pearls, stones, ceramic beads, wood, glass, and crystals – no two are alike!

9.  Indigo Bath & Body will be offering a custom Brookwood Elementary soap.

We look forward to seeing you!    :)
